It’s better than any pleasure, any high, any mountaintop experience. Well, at least for those of us for whom this is our destiny. And by destiny, I mean the soul purpose of all that is within and without.

The main event that fires your soul ecstasy, the absolutely essential mechanism, is very simple in the end. It’s equally subtle and profound, like a sleight of hand so powerful it changes the course of stars.

Do you ever have cars in your dreams? Have you ever been in the back seat? Have you ever noticed someone else driving your car, and it doesn’t work out very well? Have you ever had one of those dreams where your car went off a cliff and into a free fall, and you wake before you found out what happens?

Cars in dreams are often symbols of your waking consciousness, so they are an apt metaphor for what happens in full awakening. The subtle and profound shift that actualizes your soul ecstasy is literally a change in who and what is driving the vehicle of your conscious awareness.

When we FULLY awaken…and I don’t mean only the parts where we discover we are more than the body, where we explore our soul’s path of multiple lifetimes and wisdoms, where we unveil our multidimensional capacities or where we become aware of hidden agendas or plans…When you fully awaken, your driver changes.

This happens in stages and phases for most of us, thank God. I remember the first time it happened to me in a retreat, pretty much all at once, and I completely freaked out. “Can I get some help over here!?!?” I had raised my hand because I felt utterly weird and disoriented with no idea of what was happening.

It was about 11 PM and we would be going far into the wee hours. The leader took a good look at me, giving me a full energetic read, and said, “Oh, yes.” He smiled. “The edges of your mind are beginning to dissolve.” 

An hour or so later he came up to me at a break. “It’s really good here, isn’t it?” He thought I had made it, thought I had scaled the void, taken the leap. He thought I was free.” “No!” I blurted out. “I’m totally freaking out!”

Because it came on too much too fast. My awareness of my being hadn’t grown strong enough yet to carry my consciousness so that my mind could relax (because SOMETHING has to be driving the car!) Thus my mind was on overdrive trying to figure out what was happening, make sure I was safe, and get me back into that box that I knew so well.

And actually that’s what happened. I retreated for the time being, back into my cognitive cage. Because the mind absolutely will not yield until it knows we will be safe in the arms of our presence. Otherwise, it would be going to sleep on the job, leaving the post vacant. And that’s not a good scenario.

That experience was more than a dozen years ago, and my how things have changed. What was frightening then is now the peaceful foundation of my home field of being. That first vehicle test drive has become a celestial fleet, an ongoing state of elevated awareness.

When your personality and linear mind cease being your primary reference point of who and what you are, you cross a threshold. You still have your beautiful mind, ego, and personality, but you don’t live from there. You are living from a space much beyond it. This space is so open, so vast… It’s infinite. Everything is different, and it’s totally obvious once you get there.

While this great awakening is happening all across our globe, many are still in the tweener phase. This is a sort of advanced adolescence of awakening where you stall out in the 4D mind-field. Here your awareness of presence fades in and out. Since it’s not yet constant, your mind has not yet been released from its post.

In the tweener phase, you fully understand everything I’m saying  but you can’t yet sustain the reality of it. Spaciousness comes and goes. You still live from opinions and finite perspectives, and fall into worry and fear. You may even think you are free, and yet your mind is still running the show. There is no mistaking when this shift fully comes, because it isn’t simply an experience. You don’t ever go back to the way it was.

Likewise, everything up until then is simply a variety of experiences you are having, both wondrous and essential. Enlightened experiences help increase the fortitude of your presence, your embodied being within, so you are ready to finally pass the wheel. Expanded states of awareness. Experiences of celestial beings and powerful energies. Insight and illumination, and experiences of channeling, visions, light-language, and more.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that EVERYTHING you are experiencing is conspiring on your behalf to help you get free of the constructs of the limitations of the mind and into the wide open fields of freedom (the essential shift from 3 to 5D). Every benevolent, celestial and terrestrial force is in the stands cheering you on so that you finally make it to freedom. Freedom from struggle. Freedom from suffering. Freedom from consternation about the world. Freedom from the patterns, programs and pitfalls.

The assisting energies are arriving equally above and below (how could it be else wise in this supreme harmony and balance?). It is happening deep within the planet and far out into the cosmos. Vibrations are arising from inner earth as they are streaming in from the heavens. The mind cannot even begin to assimilate it. 

In the middle of it all? The central vortex of enlightenment, your infinitely wise and wondrous heart. And again, I don’t mean your human heart, or even your heart chakra. I’m speaking into the space of the embodiment of a higher dimension within you, your new consciousness of light.

This is where the ecstasy of the soul finally takes root and fully takes flight. Right in the center of you where the pure delight of the cosmos and God itself is realizing, celebrating and being.

All that is needed for your realization of this ordinary, life-changing miracle is two things:

1. An increase of your capacity in sustained embodiment of being

so that

2. Your mind can yield, relax, and enjoy taking a back seat as it lets go of the illusion of driving the car. FINALLY it gets that well-deserved vacation, an eon off!

Aaaaahhhhhhh!

The Wisdom Traditions of Time, Your Mind, and Your Upward Flight

Everything is Now.

Anyone who has had a psychedelic experience of “everything, everywhere, all at once” knows how overwhelming it can be to have all points of awareness active in your consciousness at once. In such an experience, you dissolve from a single vantage point into a radial multiplicity. You are seeing everything, everywhere. The information is so vast, so huge, so MUCH, flying through at the speed of light, there is no way for the conscious mind to track it or even flow with it. You are literally left staring mutely in awe at a gushing, cosmic river of information. Of light.

And even in such a state, you are aware that what you’re perceiving is truly only a speck of what is actually there in that endless river, in the infinite multiplicity of creation.

The concept that everything is happening now all at once rather than in linear progression is core to many wisdom and consciousness traditions. This idea is something most of us can get in theory but not so much in experience.

So why does it matter, this concept of radial time, where all is accessible through a single point of illumined awareness? Why would it matter that we can access everything at once, particularly if it just leaves us incapacitated in overwhelm?

Because living a different relationship with time within the all-ness of now opens up a wholly different life moment by moment. In a day to day context, such an experience becomes like micro-dosing the powerful eternally now time-medicine. It is one of the keys to healing karma, ancestral lineages, wounds and limitations of this lifetime, as well as to accessing expanded states of consciousness. Ultimately, it is key to living from the fullness of the divine heart within.

In such non-linear wisdom traditions, time is experienced as kairos rather than kronos. While kronos (the root of our word chronology) is linear, logical time, kairos can be translated as the fullness of time. I often think of it as “all time.” Kairos is a radial, multidimensional realization rather than the 2-dimensional distance-from-A-to-B, or even the 4th dimensional knowing of the time/space continuum.

In radial time, all is accessible from the singularity, which we humans experience as the still point within us. Accessing awareness from here allows a profound synthesis of all the gifts and challenges of all of our lifetimes. This central access powerfully serves the purposes of our ascension, i.e. living as the fullness of all that we are as divine beings of light.

And here we shed light on what is happening in so many minds these days!

For the most part, the human mind is primarily rooted in linear time. This is why, for many of us, our minds are not functioning the way that they have in the past. As I’ve mentioned before, we are not going back to the old way, and this is a good thing! 

Because we cannot access the fullness of ourselves through linear time. Through our minds. It is a constriction of sorts, too small for the massive light coming through. Rather we are moving into living a bigger and more complete version of ourselves. This is what is accessible through radial time. 

All of this unfolding relates to the current planetary/solar/cosmic cycle we are in. There is no stopping it, as it is happening. The same is true for the shift in our minds. We are called into it whether we are on board or not. Our minds simply will not “hold it together” the way they used to, thank God. If you’re reading this, you’ve truly outgrown that cramped, irritating, control/intellectually based, all-worshipped supremacy of the mind. 

The gift is that, *knowing* this is happening (when you feel weird, not yourself, like your mind can’t function or the planet is just TOO STRANGE) can be the essential factor that shifts your relationship with it. Having awareness gives you a different perspective, which gives you new options.

This cosmic shift that is mushing our minds also facilitates a radiant bursting open in the heart, because the heart is the cosmic center of radial time. This shift can be disorienting because you are so much vaster than the context that you have lived within your mind, so everything is different. YES! The mind as we know it really must yield to this greater truth that we are. And, I’ll say it again, it is happening whether we are aware or not. The difference is our experience of it along the way.

The best news of all in this strange dissolution of your mind? What it yields to is Love. How beautiful to surrender and flow with a love that is bigger than what you can think, bigger than what you can know in your thoughts, bigger and more glorious than anything you’ve created or known or planned before.

Your mind then becomes winged with love. Your prayers are aloft on love. Your hearts, songs, and deep inner heart whispers all take flight on the freedom of the Love that lives you, moment by moment.

Celebrating this crazy, challenging, dissolving shift that is underway with you.
